1 - General Information
The Circuit consists of 4 salons and entry is open to all worldwide photographers. It will be conducted under the approved rules of FIAP (Federation Internationale de L’Art Photographique), PSA (Photographic Society of America)
, FPF (Fédération Photographique de France), GPU (Global Photographic Union),ISF (Images Sans Frontières) and IUP (International Union of Photographers). All acceptances will count for FIAP, PSA, FPF, ISF,
GPU and IUP distinctions and for inclusion in PSA Star Rating and “Who’s Who”.
The original image must be made by the participant on photographic emulsion or captured digitally. All images must be original and may not incorporate elements produced by someone else. The original images must be modified by the author; illustrations
or graphics computer generated by the participant may be incorporated if the photographic content original predominates. The images must not be built entirely in a computer. It is necessary for the basic content of the image to be identifiable. For all
the sections, concerning animal suffering. The images where it is clearly recognizable that it is question of suffering will be judged accordingly by the members of the jury.
2 - Sections
The Circuit has one division : Projected Images.
There are four sections:
A. Open Color (PSA PID-Color) :
All techniques are allowed, this applies to this section only. Creative photos are admitted.
B. Open Monochrome (PSA PID-monochrome)
FIAP's Definition of Monochrome
A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned
entirely in a single color will remain a monochrome work that can stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a
salon under FIAP Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work (polychrome) must stand
in the color category; such a work requires color reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under Patronage FIAP
PSA's Definition of Monochrome :
An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no color (i.e. contains only shades of gray which can include pure black and pure white)
OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example by Sepia, red,gold, etc.) A greyscale or multi-colored
image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a color Work.
C. Nature Color / Monochrome (PSA ND)
FIAP and PSA Nature definition
Nature photography depicts living, , untamed animals and uncultivated plants in a natural habitat, geology and the wide diversity of natural phenomena, from insects to icebergs.
Photographs of animals which are domesticated, caged or under any form of restraint, as well as photographs of cultivated plants are ineligible.
Minimal evidence of humans is acceptable for nature subjects, such as barn owls or storks, adapting to an environment modified by humans, or natural forces, like hurricanes or tidal waves, reclaiming it. The original image must have
been taken by the photographer, whatever photographic medium is used. Any manipulation or modification to the original image is limited to minor retouching of blemishes and must not alter the content of the original scene.
After satisfying the above requirements; every effort should be made to use the highest level of artistic skill in all nature photographs.
No skills that add, move, replace or delete pictorial elements except by cultures are allowed. Technologies that improve the presentation of the photograph without change the history of the nature
or the content, pictorial or without changing the content of the original scene, are authorized, including HDR, focus stacking and dodging / Burn. Techniques that eliminate the items added by the camera,
such as spots of dust, digital noise, and scratches of films, are allowed. Images The assemblies are not allowed. All settings allowed must seem natural. Color images can also be converted to
grayscale monochrome. The infrared images, either direct-catches or leads, are not allowed.
D. Street life (PSA PID color)
Street Scene photography expresses life outdoors in all conditions of situation, place or time. The representation of at least a human element is paramount. Photographs of sport or spectacle indoors are not allowed.
These photos can be presented in color or and monochrome.
3 Entry and Entry fees
Each entrant may submit a maximum of 4 images per section, 16 total maximum.
a. Individual entry
All payments are executed through the registration system (Paypal) to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The dimension of the submitted images must be maximum of 1920 pixels on the horizontal side and/or 1080 pixels on the vertical side (the digital projector used for judging has a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels), format jpg quality 8-12, color space sRGB and maximum 2.0 MB.
Larger size of the files will be automatically rejected by the system.
The title of the photos is limited to 25 characters.
Entry fee for one author for 4 salons:
1 section : € 30
2 sections : € 35
3 sections : € 40
4 sections : € 45
To encourage the participants to register quickly, a 5 € discount will be made for any registration carried out before the 17th September 2018
b. Entry by Clubs
A club entry consists of a minimum of 5 participants. Club entries should be uploaded consecutively by one person. There is no need for postal addresses of the other participants. However, their email addresses are
required. Club discounts will calculated automatically. All catalogues and awards will be sent to the first and only address given. All club entries and payments can be done through our website : www.frenchdigitaltour.fr
Entry fee for clubs: € 30 per person, regardless of the number of pictures submitted.
Entries for which no or incomplete payment has been received will not be judged.
4 - Similar picture
When an entrant submits images which are significantly alike, only one of the images will be accepted, even if the images are entered in different sections. Images previously accepted at one of the festivals, or images that are significantly similar, will not be accepted at that festival.
5 - Notification/Results
Each entrant will receive a report card via email and CD (FIAP *** Catalogue)
6 - Copyright
Each entrant owns the copyright of the submitted images. The entrant permits the organizers to reproduce the entered material free of charge for the catalog and the website. Furthermore, the material can be used for promotional purposes.
7 - Members of Photo Clubs / Judges
a. Members of partner clubs
Members of the five partner clubs may participate in the Circuit, but cannot win prizes in the salon organized by their own club.
Members of the jury are not allowed to participate in the Circuit.
c. Club Members
Members of the same club as the judges cannot win prizes in a salon adjudicated by the judge in question.
8 - Rejection
An entry may be rejected when the organization, in its reasonable discretion, comes to the conclusion that the entry does not conform to Circuit rules and conditions. By virtuel of submitting an entry, the entrant
certifies the work as his own. The organizers accept no liability for any misuse of copyright, which remains the inalienable possession of the entrant.
9 - Acceptance of the regulation
Submission of an entry signifies acceptance of, and compliance with, all the conditions of entry by the entrant. In all matters not covered by these conditions of entry, the organisers will decide. Only the French
version of the conditions of entry will be binding in case of disagreements. But For PSA’s official language is only English.
Each salon is judged by an independent Jury the judgment will take place by section, without that the judges have the possibility to influence (electronic rating of 06 to 20, type PSA). Images will appear in a
random way and mixed by a software "Point Base" (developed by French Digital Tour) which ensures that the 4 images of the authors are not presented in consecutive order. The decision of the Jury is final and without
appeal. A photo will not be able to receive only one price per section.
By the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection the following terms:
- that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP,
- that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking,
- that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP,
- that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules.

11- Data Protection
By entering this circuit, you are explicitly consenting to the personal details you have supplied, including email addresses,
being held, processed and used by the circuit organizers for purposes associated with this circuit. You also explicitly consent
to such information being sent to organizations which have accorded official recognition, patronage or accreditation to this circuit.
You acknowledge and accept that entering this circuit means that the status and results of your entry may be made public.
12- Nota PSA
If at any time, it is determined in the reasonable discretion of the exhibition organizer or the judges before, during, or after the
judging of an exhibition that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images may fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry,
including the stated definitions, the exhibition organizers reserve the right to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all
acceptances or awards in connection with the exhibition. Fees may be forfeited or refunded in these circumstances. The entrant acknowledges
that the decision of the exhibition organizers or the judges is final. In order to ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry and definitions,
the exhibition organizers may carry out reasonable measures to verify that:
a) the images are the original work of the entrant and
b) the images comply with the rules and definitions as set out in these Conditions of Entry.
These steps include, but are not limited to, questioning any entrant, requiring the submission of RAW files or other digital files representing the original
capture of the submitted image(s), confronting the entrant with evidence that one or more submitted images fails to comply with the Conditions of Entry
(also known as Entry Rules), and offering the entrant a reasonable opportunity to provide counter evidence to refute the exhibition organizer’s evidence by a
set deadline. Such entries that are not cleared or are still questionable after the entrant has presented evidence may be considered in breach of these Conditions
of Entry, and declined. Such entries may be referred to PSA for further investigation of possible ethics violations.
PSA retains the right to investigate in any way all complaints/suspicions of breaches of entry conditions, impose sanctions if deemed necessary, void the acceptances
of any image found to violate the PSA rules, include the entrant’s name on the list of sanctions provided to Exhibitions, and share such investigations with FIAP. Entrants
automatically agree to these terms by the act of entering the Exhibition and agree to cooperate with any investigation.
